MCE type Mixed Cellulose Esters

The mixed cellulose esters membranes are composed of cellulose acetate and cellulose nitrate.
It is one of the most widely used membranes in analytical and research applications.
They are naturally hydrophilic, biologically inert and offer a good thermal stability.
MCE membrane is characterized by a smoother and more uniform surface than pure nitrocellulose membrane which facilitates particles detection, and also a high retention level.
Gridded membranes are used in many microbiological techniques include colony counting after incubation.

CA type Cellulose Acetate

The CAmembranes filters are composed of pure cellulose acetate modified to offer researchers the lowest binding filters available. Due to the extremely low binding characteristics, these hydro-
philic membranes provide high throughputs and reduce filter changes when filtering proteinaceous solutions.
The CAmembranes present a strength and dimension stability (130 psi) and resist to 135 °C.
Their uniform pore size structure allows consistent flow rates.
Applications
Sterilizing filtration of aqueous solutions (nutrient media, buffers and sera)
Clarification and sterilizing filtration of biological fluids
Sterilizing filtration of proteins and enzyme
Receptor binding studies
Tissue culture media sterilization and diagnostic cytology

NYL type (Nylon )

Nylon membranes filter is a supported, naturally hydrophilic membrane designed to wet out evenly and retain its superior strength during use in general filtration or medical assays.
Nylon membranes filters are flexible, durable and tear resistant and can be autoclaved at 135 °C.
Good chemical compatibility with aqueous and alcoholic solutions and solvents.
Applications
Sterilizing filtration of aqueous solutions, organic solvents
Bacterial and particles removal (blood glucose, serum cholesterol, drugs)

PTFE type (polytetra-fluorethylene)

PTFE membrane is an hydrophobic filter made of polytetra-fluorethylene laminated with PPlayer.
Excellent chemical resistance (pH 1-14), they are used also for solvents and acids.
Due to their hydrophobic characteristics, they must be pre-wetted with ethanol or methanol before
the filtration of aqueous solutions.
Applications
Filtration of strong acids and aggressive solutions
Venting applications (hospitals air conditioning, fermentation tank in microelectronic, ...)
Sterilizing filtration of gas samples
Aerosol samplings

PC type (polycarbonate)

Track-etched PC membranes are manufactured from high-quality polycarbonate film.
They have a smooth flat surface and hexibit very low extractables levels. Due to their sharply defined pore sizes, high flow rates and excellent chemical and thermal resistance, they are suitable for the detection of particles in many corrosive fluids

PES type (polyethersulfone)

The highly asymmetrical pore structure of our PES flat membrane offers an excellent loading capacity and high flow rate. This membrane is hydrophilic and made with polyethersulfone polymer.
It is designed to remove particulates during general filtration and its low protein and drug binding
characteristics make it ideally suited for use in life science applications.
Applications
Filtration in food industry (drinkable water, beverages, process water, ...)
Filtration of special chemical reagent, high temperature liquids
